Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA)
Owner of Inner Depth Counseling
As a transfemme, I know how hard it can be to find spaces to be yourself and feel safe enough to go deep, which is why I'm passionate about this group. I specialize in working with other trans people along any part of their journey and am excited to bring the magic of group work to our community. While I love working with individual clients, its also incredibly fulfilling to go beyond 1-on-1 work to facilitate relational healing and communal empowerment.
Actualization (noun) - The process of realizing and fulfilling one's full potential
In this political moment of escalating anti-trans aggression, we can easily find ourselves lost in fear, anxiety, and self-doubt that takes us away from the goodness of who we truly are and how we want to be in the world.
This group leverages the power of real connection, shared experience, and somatic practice to transform self-consciousness and doubt into clarity, resilience, and confidence. Over 12 weeks, you can expect to grow more into your authentic self, agency, and personal power.
As a therapist and trans person myself, I value creating space for you to explore the nuances and complexity of your experience, including and beyond your transness, making room for all parts of you to be seen and honored.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I'm a good fit?
If you want to become more solid in yourself, secure in the way you interact with others, feel more confident about how you're seen, show up better in your relationships, and take action on what you want to be doing with your life in spite of the political attacks on trans people, this group is for you.
Why Transfemme Actualization?
As trans people, we live in a culture that predominantly tells us we're shameful or wrong for being the way we naturally are. You deserve to thrive and develop yourself fully just like anyone else; but the cultural messages we internalize make that so much harder. So much of the trans narrative and process is, for good reason, focused on gender identity and expression. But you're so much more than that. What would growing more fully into your potential within and beyond your gender look like for you?
Is this a therapy group? Is it a support group? What will we be doing?
This is not a therapy group. It is a relational process, skill building, and mutual support group and while it is not meant to take the place of therapy, it does draw on the wisdom of group therapy practices and tools.
Relational group work has its own flow and alchemy that largely relies on building and exploring connections and shared experiences between group members. Many of our issues and problems in life stem from relational dynamics, and so groups facilitate relational healing in ways that are unique to the format of a group. No previous group experience is necessary to join this group, we'll be learning as we go. While it's a cliche, "trusting the process" is applicable here.
Sessions will run for 90 minutes and include here-and-now exploration of prompt questions or themes, tracking and sharing emotions, thoughts, parts, and bodily sensations, practicing relational attunement, and exploring shared experiences and perspectives amongst group members. While most of the magic will happen in session, we will also be working on committing to regular somatic self-care practices outside the group that you will choose for yourself.
How will the groups be run?
Groups will be held on Zoom Video. You will need to have a stable internet connection and private location where no one can overhear the group.
Do I need to be there for every group?
Ideally, yes. Part of the success of the group relies on showing up. This helps create safety, continuity and trust and allows for relationships in the group to flourish. If you know you won't be able to come to a session or two, please let me know ahead of time.
Is this group confidential?
Yes, this is an important part of the group's agreements.
How do I pay for this group? Can I use my insurance?
I do not accept insurance for this group and it is out of pocket only. You can either pay for the series up front or session by session. A credit card on file will be charged per session.
What if I don't think I'm "trans enough" for this group?
People who identify as transfeminine at any stage of their transition or identity exploration process are welcome in this group. If you're unsure whether you're a good fit but are curious, let's have a conversation and see.
